The beauty of living in our downtown Wilmington apartments is that, no matter which MKT property you choose, you’re within walking distance of everything you could ever want or need. Whether it’s food or entertainment, everything is well within your reach. And, since you’re in the heart of Downtown, you’re never too far from most local corporate offices, making your commute to work that much easier.

To keep entertained, there are many options to choose from. But to help get you started, we picked a few of our favorites.

Eclipse Bistro

A meal here feels like a splurge, with the decadence of dishes like sweet corn agnolotti or the spinach gnocchi with braised duck, but the prices are more than reasonable. This was the first restaurant that helped launch Platinum Dining Group, a local hospitality company, and it’s no mystery why. The attention to detail and intimate atmosphere make a meal here a true experience.

Harry’s Savoy Grill

The dim lighting, dark woods, and vibrant pops of red at Harry’s look almost as if it’s from the past (in a good way), and it makes for a perfect special night out. Though a well-rounded menu offers something for everyone, the stars of the show at Harry’s are the steaks, which include the signature 45-day-aged 18-ounce ribeye. But if you’re in more of a seafood mood, you can’t go wrong with the buttermilk-battered soft shell crabs.

Dead Presidents Pub & Restaurant

Let off some steam after a long day at the office with a libation or two from this Oval Office–themed pub. Happy Hour runs between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, during which you can enjoy select half-priced appetizers and discounted beers and cocktails.

The Grand Opera House

Don’t let the name mislead you; there’s much more than opera to be found at this historic live-performance venue. You’ll find a variety of acts performing on the 140-year-old stages (there are three of them), fit for both children and adults alike, including pop music singers and Broadway-style live theater acts.

The Queen Wilmington

Originally serving the community as a hotel in the early 1800s, this historic building recently reopened after shuttering its doors for more than 50 years. It now serves as a concert hall where all sorts of acts, big and small, perform. Don’t miss a chance to attend Drag Diva Brunch at least once; the campy event—which includes food and a drink—takes place every Sunday at noon.

As you can see, there’s so much to do around our downtown Wilmington apartments, and we’ve barely even begun to scratch the surface!
