DCAD and Delaware Historical Society Team Up for “Rock the Block” Events on Thursday, April 19th!

Delaware College of Art and Design and Delaware Historical Society will combine April 19th events for one big “Rock the Block” party! Market Street neighbors DCAD and Delaware Historical Society, each hosting their own events on Thursday, April 19th, will offer “Rock the Block” combination tickets to attend both events at a discounted price.

Begin the evening on the 600 Block of Market at the DCAD@20 ArtParty from 5:30-8:30pm! Join DCAD in celebrating its 20th anniversary with music, food, brews and a 150-piece art exhibition. Partygoers can also get interactive with a community mural and sculpture and are encouraged to take selfies with famous artworks recreated by students on DCAD windows. Proceeds go toward scholarship opportunities for DCAD students.

Then head down to The Queen at 6pm for the Delaware Historical Society’s Delaware History Makers Award Ceremony, honoring Sam and Mariah Calagione of Dogfish Brewery! The evening will continue with feature food and beer pairings as well as live music at Delaware History Museum and Old Town Hall until 10:30pm!

Individual tickets are $50 each to the DCAD@20 Art Party and $95 each to the Delaware History Makers Awards, but with the special Rock the Block combination ticket, you can attend both events for only $100! To purchase tickets and for more information, click here.
